Privacy policy
Last updated September 16, 2026. This page explains what ThomasJosephCrosswordAnswers.com collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Reading this site requires no account and no personal details. Our servers keep standard web logs — IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time — which are used to keep the site running and to spot abuse, and are not used to build a profile of you.
If you submit the contact form or join the email list, we store what you typed into that form so we can reply or send the email you asked for. Nothing more.
Cookies and local storage
The site itself uses only the cookies needed to serve pages and protect forms from spam. Revealing an answer happens entirely in your browser and is not recorded. Advertising and analytics partners, where present, may set their own cookies — see the section below.
Advertising and analytics
This site is supported by advertising. Ad partners may use cookies or similar technology to measure ad performance and, depending on your region and consent choices, to personalise the ads you see. You can opt out of personalised advertising through your browser settings, your device’s ad-tracking controls, or the consent prompt shown in regions where one is required.
The email list
Joining the daily list stores your email address, and your first name if you gave one. It is used to send the daily answer guide and nothing else. We do not sell, rent or share the list. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you through the contact page.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to us through the contact page and we will action it. If you are in the EU or UK, these rights come from the GDPR; if you are in California, from the CCPA. We honour them wherever you are.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has submitted details, contact us and we will delete them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the updated policy.
